A few weeks ago, Inetium was asked if we had interest in speaking at a local ECM user group (AIIM) on SharePoint. I was lucky enough to get the assignment, so I went down to the St. Paul Campus of the U of M and gave our SharePoint 2007 overview presentation, with some emphasis on the ECM features and functionality. Apparently this group usually has around 20-30 people in attendance at their meetings, but he subject matter was interesting enough to draw over 60 paid attendees that night!
The presentation was very well received. We went longer that the meeting usually goes, but after we paused for a few minutes to honor our original time estimate and allow people to escape, we had about half of the group stick around for the last dozen or so slides and Q&A. After the meeting, we were also invited to present at a local conference that AIIM and another local organization – ARMA put on annually.
So, with that, the real topic of this post is that I’ll be presenting Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007: A Content Management Solution at the MN AIIM/ TC ARMA Joint Conference on March 6th in Brooklyn Center, MN. The session description is below.
