mainly because the default Central Administration content database ends up with a GUID in the database name if left to its own naming conventions.\u00a0 I\u00a0prefer to <span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">explicitly <\/span>name the database to avoid the lovely GUID name.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So, along those lines, I usually use something like the following:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; color: #1f497d; line-height: 140%; font-family: 'Courier New'\">Psconfig \u2013cmd configdb \u2013create \u2013server\u00a0MyDatabase \u2013database\u00a0MOSS_Config \u2013user\u00a0MyDomainMyAccessAccount \u2013password\u00a0MyPassword \u2013admincontentdatabase MOSS_AdminContent<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; color: #1f497d; line-height: 140%; font-family: 'Courier New'\"><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\" face=\"Arial\">What I&#8217;ve found today is that this doesn&#8217;t exactly work with\u00a0Stand-alone implementations &#8211; which I\u00a0commonly use for demo environments.\u00a0 You can\u00a0still use psconfig, but you can&#8217;t specify the username and password.\u00a0 If you try, you&#8217;ll get something like:\u00a0 &#8220;When installed in standalone mode, you cannot specify a farm administrator user account or password.\u00a0 The local account NetworkService becomes the farm administrator by default when installed in standalone mode.&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0You also cannot specify a server.\u00a0 What you end up with as a command is something like the following:<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; color: #1f497d; line-height: 140%; font-family: 'Courier New'\"><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\" face=\"Arial\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; color: #1f497d; line-height: 140%; font-family: 'Courier New'\">Psconfig \u2013cmd configdb \u2013create \u2013database\u00a0WSS_Config \u2013admincontentdatabase WSS_AdminContent<\/span>\u00a0 <\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p>FYI &#8211;
